Introducing YuechenZhu

I am a neuroscience PhD candidate at University of Kentucky. My specialized area is on relationship of synaptic transmission and temperature. Currently, we using fruit fly (Drosophila melanogaster) and red swamp crayfish (Procambarus clarkia) as model to study how do them neurophysiological cope with cold temperatures. On fruit flies, we focus on how modulators play roles in cold temperature to enhance its winter survival. On crayfish, we study its synaptic transmission dynamics and modulators to understand how do ectothermic animal maintain neuronal function at cold temperatures. I am passionate to understand the nature of ourselves and very interested to convert these knowledge to help our daily life. If you have any questions, just go ahead email me.
